Snowshoeing“What a wonderful weekend, and what a wonderful team!” Mark Armstrong, director of the 2017 Full-Moon Winter Adventure Camp, can’t say enough about the volunteers who ran this year’s camp from March 10-12.  “Each contributed to one of the smoothest-running winter camps that I have had the privilege of being a part of.  Lots of smiles, lots of enthusiasm, lots of worship.  (And I think Pharoah Pharoah was the favorite song.)”
Winter camp had a larger enrollment than in recent years. Feeding Horses16 junior high youth enjoyed making crafts and building fires and quinzhees (hollowed out snow shelters – not to be confused with igloos).

SkatingPlaying SpoonsIt all happened at the farm of Susan and David Daniel, who opened their home to host the camp, built a skating rink and created a hiking trail for campers to enjoy.

Next adventure? Base Camp 2017 runs July 10-16 at Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial Park in the Alberta Badlands.
