St. Andrew, Morinville

On Friday, November 7, 2014, the land upon which St. Andrew’s Anglican Church had once stood was deconsecrated by the Rt. Rev. Jane Alexander, Bishop of Edmonton. The church was destroyed by fire on June 16, 2013. In the months following the fire, the parish continued to celebrate regular Sunday worship in the Morinville United Church. On Sunday, November 9, the congregation, led by rector the Rev. Ron Horst and assistant curate the Rev. Laureta Blondin, gathered at the United church for a final Service of Thanksgiving.
