The Bishop of Edmonton is the chief pastor of the Diocese of Edmonton. The Tenth Bishop of the Diocese of Edmonton will be The Very Rev. Dr. Jane Alexander, Diocesan Adminstrator, Dean of the Diocese of Edmonton and Rector of All Saints' Anglican Cathedral. She was elected at our Electoral Synod on March 8, 2008. Please keep Rev. Jane and the Diocese in your prayers as we prepare together, for the consecration of our Bishop to the order of Bishops in the Anglican Church of Canada. The consecration will take place at All Saints' Anglican Cathedral on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 4:00pm and all are warmly welcome.

Almighty God, the giver of all good gifts, in your divine providence you have appointed various orders in your Church. Give your grace now, we humbly pray, to Jane who has been elected as our Bishop; and so fill her with the truth of your doctrine and clothe her with the holiness of life, that she may faithfully serve before you, to the glory of your great name and for the benefit of your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
